Coachella, Rolling Loud. Skazka’s animations for Kid Cudi’s headline performances in 2019

In the beginning of 2019 WP & A saw my work online and offered to produce watercolor animation for Kid Cudi’s performance on Coachella 2019. The idea was to create fantastical alien landscapes, designed to match the existing physical volcanoes and rock formations. Skazka’s signature watercolor and ink effects had to be added to bring the landscapes further to life. The deadline was tight and there were a lot of minutes to fill. At the end, it was absolutely surreal to see watercolors traveling from paper to huge screens on Coachella and then Rolling Loud. Here is a video about this amazing experience.
